Las Casuelas Nuevas
About This Spot
Stepping into Las Casuelas Nuevas in Rancho Mirage feels like discovering a vibrant neighborhood gem that effortlessly blends warmth with celebration. The moment you arrive, whether you find yourself nestled beneath the string-lit patio or within the richly adorned interior, there’s an unmistakable sense of lively comfort and genuine hospitality. The restaurant’s pace strikes a wonderful balance—inviting and accommodating without ever feeling rushed, perfect for both intimate dinners and festive gatherings.
Here, the atmosphere is shaped as much by the thoughtful rhythm of the staff as it is by the setting itself. Friendly faces move easily between tables, anticipating needs with a quiet attentiveness that makes every guest feel seen, whether it’s an early arrival or a large group ready to share a meal. It’s this subtle attentiveness that turns dining into a shared moment rather than just a meal.
The food, deeply rooted in Mexican tradition but served with a generous spirit, invites you to savor familiar flavors in generous portions. There’s a comfort in the way dishes like spicy margaritas and fresh guacamole unfold on the palate, complementing the warm, fragrant notes of tortilla soup or the zest of perfectly done shrimp tacos. Every bite holds the kind of authenticity that encourages conversation and slow enjoyment, whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply soaking in the evening.
Las Casuelas Nuevas doesn’t just feel like a place to eat but rather a space to connect—with friends, with family, and with the rich culinary culture it lovingly presents. Its charm lies not only in the bold colors and inviting décor but in the everyday moments of kindness and care that linger long after the last sip of a crowd-pleasing margarita.

Food was great...service was good...Our server, Mauricio was friendly, accommodating and helpful. We had a reservation for 10 people and when we arrived early they were able to seat us right away inspite of it being a very busy evening. food was good and they handled special requests without any issues...

Las Casuelas Nuevas in Rancho Mirage is a must do if you’re looking for great Mexican food and drinks and fantastic atmosphere here in the valley. The food is absolutely delicious and consistent in its quality. The Cadillac margarita is worth every sip! My favorite part about this restaurant is the beautiful patio only to be rivaled by the gorgeous and ornate inside dining room. Also love driving into the parking lot and circling the gorgeous antique mission era fountain as you walk into the main lobby.

Norma our server was awesome. She made menu recommendations and brought a huge smile too. We were there for our 3rd wedding anniversary. The patio ambiance was perfect and food was so good. Huge portions. The ceviche appetizer was super tasty. We have already told others.

Food was amazing! Visiting on vacation and was recommend to come here and glad we went! Food was so good! I got the shrimp fajitas and my wife got the shrimp tacos. Not one complaint, from either of us. Food came out timely and service was very attentive. Highly recommend coming here for authentic Mexican food. Decor of the restaurant is really cool as well.

Great service. Even though I didnt have a reservation, I was swiftly given a nice, quiet booth and served with grace and timeliness by a number of staff members. Tried a few different things, and all of it was good. Shredded beef burrito, cheese enchilada, and a delicious and crispy taquito. Excellent Mexican food and very reasonably priced.

The building and patio are gorgeous! Service was great! Food was just ok. The tortilla chips were thick and hard. The salsa was spicy and they didn't have a mild one. My husband ordered a combo, 2 Beef Tacos and 1 Chicken Enchilada. He liked it, but he gave me a taco and I thought the shell was very greasy. I have a cup of vegetable soup with meatballs. Was just ok. I've definitely had better Mexican Food. The atmosphere is what sells this place.

The food was fresh and delicious. The chips were light and crispy and the salsa was perfect. The chicken chimichanga may be the best I've had. It was large enough to have leftovers for lunch the next day. My husband enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup. We sat outside on the quaint patio and enjoyed the cool evening air. I would highly recommend stopping by if you are interested the area.
